Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is becoming a defacto standard in the industry. With broader use and increasing performance of the Internet, VoIP solutions offer a number of advantages relative to the traditional options like T1, ISDN PRI, leased lines, and Centrex-type services. The cost advantage, infrastructure utilization, and reduced dependence on the telecom carrier are believed to be some of the most significant benefits. Small and midsize organizations now can afford enterprise-grade telecom features once available only to large enterprises. As a result, VoIP solutions rapidly gain popularity in all segments.

Our telecom solutions based on the Panasonic KX-TDA Hybrid IP-PBX system are fully VoIP-enabled. This means that we can build cost-effective, easy-to-use interoffice communication networks. Using VoIP on the existing wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN), our customers can network personnel and office facilities seamlessly both within the company and outside.

The KX-TDA Hybrid IP-PBX system supports one of the widest
selection of connectivity options including VoIP. Such a large variety of
configuration options translates into the utmost flexibility in
technology, features, and cost. Currently, there are two wired IP
telephones (KX-NT136
and KX-NT265)
and the IP Softphone
application.
The IP telephones can be installed and supported anywhere
within the network and connected home offices. For customers with multiple
locations such as regional and branch offices or telecommuters, the IP
telephones can eliminate the need for multiple PBXes. The IP telephones
support most of the functions of the digital telephones, including
integration with the KX-TVA voice processing system.

As an example, a customer with a large corporate office
and multiple satellite offices can network all locations, telecommuters,
and traveling staff by using the KX-TDA series switches. Caller ID
information or extension information is passed to the display of the
telephone through the network. Employees on the road can stay connected
with the IP Softphone installed in their PCs. A simple 3 to 5 digit numbering
plan makes dialing from one office to another as easy as dialing from an
extension within the same office. With our VoIP solution based on the
Panasonic KX-TDA series, customers reduce their telecommunications costs,
gain more independence from the local exchange carrier, and raise their work
force productivity while maintaining a high quality of service, which they
demand for mission-critical voice communications.
