Maintains and records business transactions. Balances ledgers, reconciles accounts, and prepares reports. Prepares balance sheets; profit and loss statements; paperwork for local, state and federal level returns; and financial statements for internal and external users. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with reporting guidelines. Occasionally researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy. May team up with a CPA or specialized tax preparer for important filings. A bachelor's degree in the area of specialty or equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area is preferred. More experience may substitute the formal education requirement. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the job function. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Familiarity with Intuit Quickbooks or equivalent accounting software system is a must. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the CTO. |
Sales Engineer / 5002 Northern NV / 4/18/2011 |
Performs marketing and sales activities to maintain the sales pipeline targets with regard to generating leads, opportunities, and sales. Authors winning proposals. Generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts. Maintains relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential accounts. Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales. Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services. Communicates customer feedback for future product developments. Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Maintains and enhances the firm's reputation and corporate identity. Collects and maintains competitive intelligence and offers strategies to strive in the competitive environment.
A self starter. Able to work with minimal/no supervision. Works with management to set short- and long-term sales pipeline strategies and to evaluate effectiveness of the sales function. Maintains up-to-date CRM data. Periodically reports on sales pipeline status. May work with management on developing and/or enhancing organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives.
Requires a bachelor's degree in the area of specialty or related and 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area. More experience may substitute the formal education requirement. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the job function. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to the CTO. |
